Split your logs and raise money for Cancer Research UK
Louth Tractors is hosting ‘Log Splitting Live’ for the fourth year running, and this year’s chosen charity is Cancer Research UK.
Taking place on Saturday 23 November between 09:00 – 14:00, the event will feature working demonstrations from the manufacturers Hydrocut, Oxdale Products and Portek at the agricultural supplier’s Louth dealership, on Fairfield Industrial Estate.
The Louth Tractors team will be splitting logs, which will be sold on the day or auctioned the following week. “We also encourage members of the public to bring their own logs for us to split, and the more the merrier,” says Husqvarna brand specialist Arnie Blanshard.
Jonathan Urry, parts director says there are many reasons to come along. “There will be special offers on log splitters, chainsaws, axes, log holders and many other products, and we will be cutting and bagging kindling wood and pallet blocks in exchange for donations.
“We’re excited to be able to donate to Cancer Research UK, this month our parts advisor, Simon Greenfield, will shave off a year’s growth of beard to raise money for the charity in memory of his mum, Susan Greenfield,” he says.
“The whole team is behind the cause and we’re encouraging locals to show their support by coming along for the ‘Log Splitting Live’ event,” adds Jonathan.
