Case IH Axial-Flow: Low running cost and high performance
Case IH is confident their Axial-Flow combines are innovative machines built for challenges associated with climate change, high-yielding crops and the need to become ever more efficient.
We spoke to long-standing customer, Mike Daniells, for his take on the model. Mike farms 2,428 hectares of arable crops and a small herd of beef cattle on the Lincolnshire Wolds, for J.Wharton Agriculture (Ltd).
“We purchased two 9240 Axial-Flow combine harvesters in 2017 after a successful demo from Louth Tractors.
“We swapped from Claas to Case IH and have been very satisfied. The decision was down to cost and performance. The samples produced by the machine are good, clean quality.
“We haven’t had to use our dresser at the drier since having the machines. It’s very easy to set up and the headers are excellent, with the ability to pick up damp, low lying crops if needed.
“It has a smooth action from field to machine and the running costs are low.
“We’ve worked with Louth Tractors for a long time. They have a strong technical team, their spare parts department are very efficient and competitively priced and we’ve found the whole team in the service and parts department very professional to deal with.”
