Lincolnshire Farming Conference

Delegates discuss the future of farming

Yesterday hundreds of farmers, rural business owners and ag experts turned out for this year's Lincolnshire Farming Conference at the Showground. We were pleased to be there with Sumo, discussing the future of farming and showcasing the latest Case IH Optum CVX 300 and no-till DTS toolbars.

The afternoon's headline speech came from Guy Smith, vice president of the NFU, with other excellent presentations from Kelly Hewson-Fisher from Anglian Water and NIAB's Bill Clark. Farmers were urged to build 'resilient businesses', with Brexit, the RPA and pesticides all coming up in discussions throughout the day.

The future of farming is being discussed everywhere right now. Just this week the NFU published a report into the possibility of mainstream electric tractors by 2020, while Case IH's concept driverless tractor is set to be showcased in Paris this week at SIMA.

New technology brings new opportunities for every machinery owner (and plenty of new topics for conversation!) Drop us a line: stephen.melbourne@louthtractors.co.uk or call 01507 605441
